Adding use-case-specific context and using our features to meet your users’ needs is crucial to ensuring adoption and achieving even higher-quality outputs.

Where Can I Configure the Settings of My Use Case?

Navigate to the admin panel and click „Use cases” on the left-hand menu. Select your use case and click on “Use Case Settings”. You can then navigate through the tabs.

Settings That Will Influence the Answer Generation of Genow

Please be aware that most settings will be managed on a use case level and will influence every user question for all assets. Before configuring settings, it might be helpful to read about how data will be ingested and how the Genow search for documents works: The following table will provide you with an overview - most of the settings can be configured in the admin panel:

Context EnrichmentAdd use case specific context on use case level to provide Genow with all needed information which should be available for all searches and answer generations. Available fields: (1) Use Case specific context, context about the (2) users and (3) documents and (4) tonality.Whenever context is missing for user questions and answer generation.
Sub Task SplittingThe user’s question is split into subtasks. On every subtask, information retrieval is performed in parallel. Can be turned on / off. Will increase the cost per questions slightly. Can not be configured in the admin panel. Ask us for help.Comparison of different topics and elements; Generally: useful whenever a user question implies multiple questions. Good for complex user questions as well.
GuardrailsSet Guardrails to avoid the creation of content that could be harmful or inappropriate.Helpful for use cases that rely on the integraty of the answer or handle critical data.
Targeted Web SearchUsers can add a list of websites to the web search for their use case using the user interface. These websites will then be searched exclusively to generate an answer. If allowed by the website operator, subsites and subdomains will also be used. Can not be configured in the admin panel. Ask us for help.Users can combine the knowledge base of the use case and add websites for individual searches.

FallbacksYou can add fallbacks to predefined user questions that will be shown in addition to the answer.For example, for contact persons or to provide additional information on specific queries.
Guided SearchAdd additional input fields in addition to the regular input field. Each additional field will have a name, the option to be mandatory and a description. You can also configure drop-down options.This helps users provide the right input for their questions and ensures the quality of answers by ensuring certain information is given.
Quick ActionsDefine quick actions that will further process Genow’s answer based on a specific prompt. For now, tool calls to PowerPoint creation are not possible yet but will be in the future due to our agentic-first approach.To achieve a higher process fit by using Genow’s answer. Deactivate Follow-up and Alternative QuestionsIt’s possible to deactivate follow-up and alternative questions.
Add Personal Assets to the Use CaseIt is possible to add a personal asset to the use case.Helpful if the data can be used as a basis for further individual use cases.
Disable the downloadability of referenced filesUsually, users can download the cited files from the preview. However, you can disable this feature.For content that cannot be made available for download due to rights restrictions.
Configure your feedback formYou can choose which fields should be included in the positive and negative feedback forms. When all fields are disabled, users can provide feedback simply by clicking the thumbs-up or thumbs-down button, without filling out any fields.During testing, we highly recommend using multiple fields to gain more insight. Later, disabling the fields might help you to receive constant feedback in a simpler form.
